News \ E-Marketing to grow by 24% in 2008
Independent research recently published by The E-consultancy reveals that the UK market for email technology and associated services has continued to grow in 2008 and will reach £274m by the end of the year; an increase of 24% on 2007.
Due to economic conditions many companies working within the marketing services sector will be bracing themselves for difficult times as marketing budgets go under scrutiny. However, much of the online industry remain bullish as the measurement and traceable nature of online marketing, such as email marketing, means it is far easier to justify and demonstrate its worth. Less tangible, traditional marketing mediums such as PR or print advertising may go under the knife due to the difficulty in demonstrating returns on this type of activity.
