Website: Design & Build
Creativity and Usability
We can provide a range of website design and build services to meet the requirements of your business. These are available as stand alone services or part of a larger solution.
The first stage is to fully understand your objectives and what you would like the website (microsite / extranet / intranet) to achieve and the budgets available to do this. From here we can advise the best solution, it could be that you require a content management system or simply a flat site with a bespoke design because the content is only relevant for short period of time or seldom changes. The bottom line is for us to provide the best possible solution to meet your needs.
Website Design
Website design is a subjective and emotive area, one that needs careful thought combined with the appropriate creative treatments and processes. The design will shape a lot of the initial perception a user forms upon landing on your website - it will often play a big part in a user deciding if they want to stay or leave.
Your brand values and key messaging will need to be communicated through the design so it's vital that it's in line with the image you want to portray. However, this should not be to the detriment of the user experience as the site design needs to maintain user engagement and provide a rewarding environment.
We provide our extensive experience and expertise in website design to help shape and form a site design that reflects the needs of the client whilst maintaining the latest best practise, usability and design trends.
Website: Build & Architecture
The build and architecture of your website form its foundations and framework so it is fundamental that you get it right. There are a numerous areas to consider from both a technical and usability perspective:
- Navigation: What type of navigation best suits the design and content of the site? Breadcrumb navigation? Dropdowns? Left, right, top navigation bars? Is it intuitive and easy to use?
- Accessibility: How accessible is the site from a DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) and W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) perspective - do you want to be A, AA or AAA compliant or not at all? Can Search Engines easily spider and index the website?
- Technology: What is the most appropriate language for your website to be written in? Do you require a database to sit behind the website and store content and user details? What sort of hosting environment?
- Future Proofing: Will the website stand the test of time? Is the architecture suitable for future developments and enhancements?
Website: Scoping & Consultation
As the initial stage of the project we will conduct a detailed project scoping exercise with all relevant OG personnel. This will cover: site mapping, navigation, design, functionality, technology, content management, critical time/dates, and project responsibilities. A full project document will be produced as a result of this exercise. This enables us to produce a web site that fulfils your needs and functionality requirements, and above all addresses your commercial objectives.
